General Questions
-
How do you compile your list of accepted schools?
We accept the top 260 National Universities, the Top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges, the top 25 Regional Universities (North, South, West, Midwest), the top 20 Military Academies, and the Top 20 Diverse and Historically Black Universities reported by US News and World Report. We also accept all Universities associated with Sigma Alpha Lambda and Phi Kappa Phi.

Why is there a 3.0 minimum GPA requirement?
We require a 3.0 GPA for membership because we want to give students who have paid their dues by earning great grades at college a tool to stand out from the rest of the pack. When employers see a Beyond Credentials profile, they know it is from an accomplished student. Unfortunately if you don't have a 3.0 we will not be able to accept your application.

How do you verify students GPA?
We randomly pull membership data everyday to confirm. Under FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)) Schools may disclose, without consent, "directory" information such as a student's name, address, telephone number, date and place of birth, honors and awards, and dates of attendance. However, schools must tell parents and eligible students about directory information and allow parents and eligible students a reasonable amount of time to request that the school not disclose directory information about them. Schools must notify parents and eligible students annually of their rights under FERPA. The actual means of notification (special letter, inclusion in a PTA bulletin, student handbook, or newspaper article) is left to the discretion of each school.?For more on this topic, please visit ed.gov.

Creating Your Pitch-Page
-
What do I need to create my page?
All you need is your resume, a photo and a good grasp of what you've accomplished and what you want to do. We'll walk you through the process quickly and easily.
-
What are the most important parts of my page?
Your story, your resume, your accomplishments and your personality. Be honest, direct and to the point. And be yourself!
Using Your Pitch-Page
-
How do I apply to a job with my Pitch-Page?
You can use your page link (username.beyondcredentials.com) anywhere at anytime to apply to a job. A simple email (no more than 5 sentences) with your link is the best way to get a prospective employer's attention. In fact, we recommend that you target companies and individuals at companies to contact with your link. The everyday job boards have a very small success rate. Therefore your best best is networking and giving people a link they want to share about you!
When you apply to a job on Beyond Credentials, an email will be sent directly to the HR Manager with a link to your pitch-page. They will review your profile and will be in contact if they would like to move forward. In some cases, you will be redirected to a second party to complete the application process. Be sure to include a link/reference to your pitch-page there. The HR Manager will be looking for it.

No one will be able to access your information even if they know your pitch-page address. To unpublish, send us an email with your request and we will take care of it. If you still would like to delete your account, send an email to and we will permanently delete your information.
